Booking Terms
Welcome to the Safari Tailors website. This website is provided to assist travelers in planning and booking tailor-made African safari journeys, private tours, transfers, and related travel experiences carefully designed to deliver a personalized and memorable adventure.
The terms “we,” “us,” “our,” and “Safari Tailors” refer to Safari Tailors LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. The terms “you,” “customer,” “client,” or “traveler” refer to the person visiting or using our website, communicating with our reservations team, requesting a quote, or booking a travel arrangement through Safari Tailors.
By confirming a booking with Safari Tailors, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the booking terms set out below.
1. Registration and Payment
A deposit of at least 50% of the total trip price is required at the time of booking in order to confirm your reservation.
We accept payment by credit card, wire transfer, PayPal, and any other payment methods that may be made available by Safari Tailors from time to time.
The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to departure.
If your reservation is made within 30 days of departure, the full cost of the trip must be paid at the time of confirmation.
A booking is only considered confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and Safari Tailors has issued written confirmation.
2. Cancellation
At Safari Tailors, our highest priority is to create authentic, enjoyable, and memorable African travel experiences for our guests. We understand that plans may change, and where possible, we will do our best to assist you with rescheduling your trip or adjusting your travel arrangements.
If your travel plans change, Safari Tailors may, where possible and subject to supplier approval, help you place your booking on hold or reschedule your trip to new travel dates. Any such change remains subject to availability, supplier policies, seasonal price differences, and any applicable third-party charges.
You may cancel or request changes to your booking at any time. All cancellations and change requests must be submitted in writing to Safari Tailors by email at:
If email communication is not possible, please contact us by phone or WhatsApp using the official contact details listed on our website or booking confirmation.
All cancellations of confirmed reservations are subject to the following terms and conditions. In addition to Safari Tailors’ cancellation terms, clients may also be responsible for any cancellation fees, non-refundable deposits, administrative charges, or penalties charged by hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, transfer companies, activity providers, park authorities, rail operators, or any other third-party suppliers included in the itinerary.
Cancellation Fees
Cancellations made 29 days or less prior to departure will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total trip price.
No refunds will be issued for unused services, missed transfers, missed activities, late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, or changes made by the traveler during the trip.
3. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance immediately after confirming their booking.
Your insurance should include, at a minimum, cover for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, repatriation, baggage loss or delay, travel delays, supplier failure where available, and any activities included in your itinerary.
In the event that you must cancel or interrupt your participation in a travel program, travel insurance may be your only source of reimbursement for non-refundable costs.
Safari Tailors is not responsible for any loss, expense, injury, delay, cancellation, or disruption that could have been covered by appropriate travel insurance.
4. Passports and Visas
Valid passports are required for travel to most destinations. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that passports are valid for the required period after travel, usually at least six months beyond the date of return, and contain sufficient blank pages for entry and exit stamps.
Visa requirements vary according to nationality, destination, routing, and transit points. Travelers are responsible for checking with the appropriate embassy, consulate, immigration authority, or official government source for the latest visa and entry requirements before departure.
Safari Tailors may provide general guidance where possible, but we are not responsible for visa decisions, denied entry, immigration delays, or failure by the traveler to obtain the required documents.
5. Health Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they meet all health, vaccination, and entry requirements for the destinations included in their itinerary.
Some destinations may require or recommend vaccinations, malaria precautions, yellow fever certificates, or other health-related documentation depending on the traveler’s country of origin, transit route, or recent travel history.
We recommend consulting a qualified travel clinic, doctor, or official public health authority well in advance of travel.
Safari Tailors is not responsible for any costs, losses, denied boarding, denied entry, or disruption resulting from failure to comply with health or vaccination requirements.
6. Baggage
Baggage restrictions may apply on domestic flights, regional flights, charter flights, light aircraft transfers, safari flights, and scheduled airline services. These restrictions may include limits on weight, size, and type of luggage.
Soft-sided bags may be required for light aircraft and safari transfers.
Baggage and personal belongings remain at the owner’s risk throughout the travel program. Travelers should check with the relevant airline or supplier for baggage restrictions applicable to both international and internal flights.
Safari Tailors is not responsible for loss, theft, delay, damage, or mishandling of baggage or personal effects.
7. Changes to Prices, Itineraries, and Services
Prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs, taxes, park fees, conservation fees, fuel costs, supplier rates, and availability at the time the quotation is prepared.
Safari Tailors reserves the right to adjust tour prices to reflect increases in costs, taxes, tariffs, government fees, park fees, conservation fees, fuel surcharges, supplier rates, or fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.
Safari Tailors also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part of it, substitute accommodation, adjust routing, change transport arrangements, revise activities, or make such alterations to the itinerary or inclusions as may be necessary or desirable.
Itineraries, accommodation, activities, flights, transfers, sightseeing arrangements, and other services may be subject to change due to weather, road conditions, flight schedule changes, lodge availability, safety concerns, operational requirements, park regulations, border delays, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond Safari Tailors’ control.
Every reasonable effort will be made to operate trips as planned, but changes may occur before or after the final itinerary has been issued.
Where a significant change is required, Safari Tailors will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative of similar standard where available. Any additional costs resulting from changes beyond our control may be passed on to the traveler.
8. Supplier Terms and Third-Party Services
Safari Tailors acts as an arranger of travel services, which may be provided by independent third-party suppliers, including but not limited to hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, charter companies, transfer operators, guides, activity providers, restaurants, park authorities, and ground handlers.
All services are subject to the terms, conditions, rules, and limitations of the relevant third-party suppliers.
Safari Tailors is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, cancellation, overbooking, service failure, accident, omission, or irregularity caused by third-party suppliers or events beyond our direct control.
9. Traveler Responsibility
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they are fit to travel and able to participate in the activities included in their itinerary.
Travelers must comply with all laws, customs, immigration rules, safety instructions, lodge or camp rules, guide instructions, and wildlife viewing protocols.
Safari travel may involve remote locations, wildlife, uneven terrain, long drives, boat transfers, light aircraft flights, border crossings, and limited access to medical facilities. By booking, travelers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with travel in Africa and safari environments.
Safari Tailors reserves the right to refuse service, remove a traveler from a trip, or terminate travel arrangements where a traveler’s conduct is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, abusive, or likely to endanger themselves, other guests, staff, wildlife, or property.
10. Force Majeure
Safari Tailors shall not be liable for any failure, delay, cancellation, change, loss, damage, or expense caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, floods, drought, fire, epidemics, pandemics, disease outbreaks, border closures, government restrictions, war, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, airline disruptions, airport closures, supplier insolvency, technical failures, road closures, wildlife movements, or any other event beyond our control.
In such cases, Safari Tailors will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements, postponements, or supplier credits where possible, but refunds will be subject to the policies of the relevant suppliers and any costs already incurred.
11. Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment where possible.
Refunds may be reduced by bank charges, card processing fees, PayPal fees, wire transfer costs, currency conversion losses, supplier penalties, non-refundable deposits, administrative fees, and any other costs incurred in making or cancelling the booking.
Processing times for refunds may vary depending on banks, payment processors, suppliers, and international transfer systems.
Safari Tailors is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment platforms, card networks, or third-party suppliers.
12. Accuracy of Information
Safari Tailors makes every reasonable effort to ensure that information on our website, itineraries, proposals, and communications is accurate at the time of publication or issue.
However, travel information, prices, availability, schedules, park fees, taxes, accommodation details, and entry requirements may change without notice.
Photographs, descriptions, maps, and travel times are provided for general guidance and may not exactly represent current conditions or final arrangements.
13. Governing Law
These booking terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to Safari Tailors LLC as a Delaware limited liability company, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these booking terms, your booking, or services arranged by Safari Tailors shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
